Personalisation Conference

Leadership Training Seminar
Intercultural Communication and Leadership School (ICLS) and Praxis Community Projects are offering leadership training for young people aged 20 to 30 living in Tower Hamlets and in neighbouring Boroughs.

MP Shadowing Scheme

Planning for Personalisation – The Next Step
Date: 11th March 2010
Time: 9.30 am to 13.30 pm
Venue: Old Town Hall, Stratford
In response to the Personalisation agenda and the changes it will result in, the East London CVS Network have organised another information and learning event in partnership with Skills for Care, NE London.
A local PCT Chair will be facilitating the event and there will be guest speakers, including a representative from the Department of Health.
The session will explore local perspectives, change management, environmental scanning and change models. Delegates are expected to have a basic understanding of the Personalisation Agenda.
We have planned the session so it is both informative and interactive.

Women & Leadership Course - February/March 2010
A short course for women on leadership in public and third sector organisations.
The course is run at the University of East London and can be taken either as a short course or as a postgraduate module (20 credits). It is a 6-day course, run in two parts: 23rd, 24th & 25th February and 22nd, 23rd & 24th March 2010.

Public Consultation - Out Of Hours Urgent Dental Care Review

LVSC E-learning courses now available
LVSC has launched a new and exciting range of sector-friendly online courses. These courses match the popular range of short courses delivered by the Learning Team. The courses may also be taken independently or to support accredited learning.
London VCS staff register for only £35 with access to over 70 different courses.
A pilot project is assessing the courses and 25 free registrations are available to VCS staff who agree to participate in the evaluation.

Birkbeck College accreditation of LVSC short courses
Birkbeck College has approved a package providing recognition of specific LVSC short courses. By accrediting the prior learning (APL) achieved on these courses, participants of the LVSC courses may gain exemption for one module (30 credits equivalence) of the Higher Education Certificate in Voluntary Sector Studies and Management (level 4, HE level 1).
