Training Opportunities on Facilitating Community Conversations
Date: Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th September 2010
Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm
Venue: Conflict and Change, 2a Streatfeild Avenue London E6 2LA
A free 2 day practical course to enable mediation and development agencies to run community conversations.
The course will cover:
• The two models – Getting to Know you and Dialogue on Difference or Difficult topics
• Transferring mediation skills into community building initiatives
• Facilitation skills
• Outreach/recruiting/finding a niche
• Skills for dealing with problems or conflicts
• Tools for making the work sustainable
• Monitoring and evaluation
• Adapting the models for your settings
Suggested maximum one person from each organisation but contact us if you have good reasons for wanting two! This project is funded by Equality and Human Rights Commission.
