Sessional Youth Worker at Stonegrove Estates’ Youth Project
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Post 1 year
Closing date for applications: Friday 27th August 2010
The successful candidate will work with the Senior Community Youth Worker on this exciting project on the Stonegrove, Spur Road and Penniwell Estate to meet the needs of young people 8-17 years.
This role will involve delivering centre based and outreach sessions, taking overall responsibility for 8-11 years work and managing a team of volunteers.
Candidates will preferably need:
• NVQ (or equivalent) Qualification in Youth Work or willingness to work towards one
• One year of youth work experience either paid or voluntary
• To be flexible in working evenings and weekends
You will receive:
• A salary of £9,880 (£9.50 an hour 20 hours a week)
• Training, support and encouragement
