LawWorks - free legal advice for community groups
LawWorks for Community Groups (a project of the national charity, the Solicitors Pro Bono Group, operating under the LawWorks name) was set up 6 years ago to match small not-for-profit organisations in need of free legal advice with a network of volunteer lawyers. To date they have helped around 1000 organisations receive free advice in all areas of law including company law, employment, property law and intellectual property.
They also operate a series of free legal training sessions aimed at not-for-profit organisations to help them identify legal problems, avoid future legal claims and strengthen their governance by sharing best practice. There would be no charge to attendees or Workforce Hub.
Although they are mentioned on the Central London CVS website I am not aware of any direct contact with your organisation before. I thought perhaps it would be useful for our team to meet with you, and anyone else from ELCVS network, to discuss how we operate and whether we can be of assistance to your member groups? Do let me know if this would interest you.
