Regional:
The Neighbourhoods Sub-Group deals with key issues around community development, engagement with LSPs, and LAAs, capacity building and empowerment.
The London Community Development Steering Group has produced a new report “Developing the Infrastructure for Community Development Learning and Qualifications in London” and this, together with the Supporting Material is now available on the ELN website: www.elcvsnetwork.org.uk/news/archives/resources
The London Civic Forum, in its role as regional lead for the national empowerment partnership will be continuing its work around up-dating the community development training directory. A London Community Development [CD] Network is being organised by a small collective of CD practitioners. Their aim it to:
- Provide networking and informal peer support
- Enable policy dissemination and critical discussion
- Develop a campaigning capacity to raise the profile of CD

Community Development is one of the key themes in the ELN Manifesto for Developing Sustainable Communities which was produced in Spring 2007.
ELN is now developing a database of community development practitioners and those interested in community development in East London. If you would like your details to be included, please contact: josephine.mason@elcvsnetwork.org.uk
